Non-Alcoholic Wine FAQs

Can you use non-alcoholic wine in cooking?

The short answer is yes, you can cook with non-alcoholic wine. That said, when substituting a wine alternative for the wine in a recipe, it’s important to start with a high-quality product. The cooking process will concentrate and intensify any added ingredients in addition to the natural flavors of the wine. Studio Null’s non-alcoholic wines never contain artificial ingredients so that they will remain true to the expression of the original wine.

What does dry wine mean?

A wine is considered “dry” when there is no residual sugar left after fermentation, and in theory this results in a wine that is not sweet. Because taste is relative and subjective, sweetness vs. dryness can be perceived on the palate in a variety of ways. For example, a fruit-forward profile might seem sweet, or lots of tannins may have a drying effect, although neither is directly related to a wine’s sugar content. Studio Null customers often remark that they are pleasantly surprised to find that our non-alcoholic wines are not overly sweet or cloying but deliver complex flavors that develop over time.

Does non-alcoholic wine have less sugar?

Many people are drinking less alcohol– or identify as sober curious– for health reasons, and therefore want to know about the ingredients in their non-alcoholic beverages. Because there is nearly zero alcohol in alcohol-removed wine, Studio Null adds a small amount of natural sugar to balance the structure and body of our non-alcoholic wines. Our non-alcoholic wines contain less than a quarter of the calories compared to a full-alcohol wine, and every bottle lists full nutrition and sourcing information for transparency from vine to glass.

Non-Alcoholic Red Wine FAQs

Is non-alcoholic red wine good for your health?

Many people are drinking red wine alternatives for health reasons and Studio Null’s non-alcoholic red wines have just 20 calories per glass, or roughly ¼ that of their alcoholic counterparts. With less than 0.5% ABV and no artificial ingredients, every bottle lists full nutrition and sourcing information for transparent, easy drinking.

Does non-alcoholic red wine need to breathe?

Whether it’s a full-bodied red or a light to medium-bodied red, there are different approaches to decanting and aerating wines and we recommend treating non-alcoholic red wine the same way you would treat a traditional red wine. Studio Null’s single-varietal Garnacha (also known as Grenache) is a robust red that benefits when given some time to breathe after opening and before serving, which allows the flavors to soften and develop.

Is non-alcoholic red wine just grape juice?

Studio Null’s non-alcoholic wines are made from premium grapes that have been fermented into full-alcohol wines via traditional methods. For example, our red blend was aged in oak barrels to enhance the flavor profile of dark cherry and ripe berries.

Non-Alcoholic White Wine FAQs

Is non-alcoholic white wine just grape juice?

Studio Null’s non-alcoholic wines are made from premium grapes that have been fermented into full-alcohol wines via traditional methods, such as aging in French oak or steel tanks. Our team of winemakers gently distill the wine to remove the alcohol, then expertly calibrate the dealcoholized wine before bottling resulting in a high-quality wine, with less than 0.5% ABV.

What does dealcoholized white wine taste like?

Wine lovers can expect the same quality from Studio Null’s non-alcoholic wines as they would from a traditional bottle. For example, our premium non-alcoholic white wine, Grüner Weiss, has a flavor profile that has been tasted and approved by critics from the New York Times and San Francisco Chronicle, among others who have called it “refreshingly crisp with lemony fruit”.

How much sugar is in NA white wine?

Many people are drinking less alcohol for health reasons, and therefore want to know about the ingredients in their non-alcoholic beverages. Studio Null’s non-alcoholic wine has a small amount of natural sugar – under 4 grams per serving – to balance acidity. With less than a quarter of the calories compared to a full-alcohol wine, every bottle lists full nutrition and sourcing information for transparent, easy drinking.

Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Wine FAQs

What is non-alcoholic sparkling wine?

Whether for a special occasion or to pair with a meal, Studio Null’s non-alcoholic sparkling wines are made from premium grapes that have been fermented into full-alcohol wines and then gently distilled to remove the alcohol. Our team of winemakers expertly calibrates the dealcoholized wine before bottling resulting in a high-quality sparkling wine, without the alcohol.

What does non-alcoholic sparkling wine taste like?

Sparkling wine lovers can expect the same quality from Studio Null’s non-alcoholic sparkling wines as they would from a traditional bottle. From the experience– the pop of the cork, the delicate bubbles in a glass– to the tasting notes and crisp flavor profiles, our customers often tell us that they can’t tell the difference.

Is non-alcoholic sparkling wine healthy?

Studio Null’s non-alcoholic sparkling white has just 25 calories per glass, or roughly ¼ that of its alcoholic counterpart. While many people have tried a sparkling wine alternative derived from a mixture of carbonated juices, teas, and/or other mystery ingredients, Studio Null offers non-alcoholic sparkling wines that are traceable from vine to glass with full nutrition and sourcing information on every bottle.
